Deteriorating

screen printed engobe on ceramic
each 18.5 x 12.5 x 0.7 cm, 2019

A photograph taken at Wellman’s Cove in Newfoundland, Canada, looking out over the ocean from a crumbling wharf, is printed on ceramic tiles. This ancestral place deteriorates physically and mentally as all that remains are pieces of old infrastructure and passed down memories. Each screen-printed dot acts as pixels of memory that are becoming lost to the point of breakage.
